LAYIGE // SHERLOCK5

Instructions

How Layige works

Layige is private AI. The Sherlock5 council does the thinking on the server; your history and personalization live only on your device. Here is everything you need to use it.

Step 1

Create an account
Go to Sign in and register with an email and a password (8+ characters). You get a secure token stored only in your browser — no tracking cookies. New accounts start on the free tier.

Step 2

Add credits
Every request spends credits. Buy a top-up from Settings (Stripe checkout). Pricing per request:
  • 1 — quick answers (routed to the fast model)
  • 2 — vision (image analysis) or a web-grounded lookup
  • 5 — pipeline (standard coding/answers)
  • 10 — council (specialists, debate, vote, decompose)
Failed or degraded requests cost nothing — you are only charged for a successful answer.

Step 3

Chat
Open Chat and type. By default Layige auto-routes: simple questions go to the fast model, hard ones convene the council.

Step 4

Pick a thinking strategy (optional)
In Chat, the second dropdown lets you force a strategy instead of auto-routing:
  • pipeline — fast, direct.
  • specialists — parallel experts (algorithm, deps, security, tests), then a judge synthesizes.
  • debate — models critique each other, a judge merges the best.
  • vote — several answers, judge picks the winner.
  • decompose — splits a big task into steps and solves each.
Heavier strategies cost more and take longer — use them for hard problems.

Step 5

Choose a style (optional)
The first dropdown sets tone/format: concise, creative, logic (step-by-step), or teacher. Style changes how answers read — the model's safety behavior is unchanged.

Step 6

Your memory (the Pet)
As you chat, Layige builds a local profile of your topics, tasks, and tone — entirely in your browser — and quietly includes the most relevant past exchanges with each new question, so answers get more "you" over time. None of this is sent to or stored on the server beyond the single request it rides along with.

Step 7

Own and move your data
In Settings you can Export your entire history as a JSON file, Import it on another device, or Clear it. There is no server-side copy to leak or subpoena — the server retains no prompts, replies, or uploads.

The privacy promise

Prompts, replies, and images are processed in memory and never written to a database or disk. Logs record only timing and cost — never your words. For institutions, Layige also runs fully air-gapped inside your own network. See the audit report for the technical evidence.
